Oasis sold nearly 90,000 copies of new album "Dig Out Your Soul" after its release earlier this week (October 6), making it one of the year's fastest first-day sellers.
The band's seventh studio album had sold 89,434 copies by the end of the day.
According to midweek figures, at close of business yesterday the album was outselling the current Number One, Kings Of Leon's "Only By The Night", by nearly five units to one.
